Start Together Studio

Start Together Studio opened in December 2007.

It was started as a base for its three partners Barrett Lahey, Ben McAuley and Rocky O'Reilly to create something truly unique in Northern Ireland: a professional recording studio built upon a strong foundation of community within the music scene it aims to serve, expand and encourage.

Start Together aims to record music that means something to us, to help bands and artists explore their songs and produce recordings that we will all be proud to listen to from our armchairs in the year 2058 and beyond.

In the past twelve months we've been lucky enough to work with artists like And So I Watch You From Afar, Cashier No. 9,  Sharon Corr, Cutaways, Desert Hearts, General Fiasco, Robert Holmes, Terri Hooley, In Case Of Fire, Jane Bradfords, Kowalski, Mojo Fury, Tom McShane, Panama Kings, Robyn G Shiels & Foy Vance and recorded live sessions for the BBC with artists like Holy Fuck, Blood Red Shoes, The Ting Tings and The Lowly Knights.

For years now an ever-increasing collection of recording equipment, microphones, instruments and amplifiers has been sought out, cared for and put together to give a unique range of options, placed in great sounding rooms and all housed in a fantastic location in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter.

We are all musicians who record and perform our own music and entertain only a positive attitude to the recording process.
